We at West Mountain and the West Side Grille would just like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! We will be open from 10am until 3pm on Friday and will be closed on Christmas Day. We'll reopen at 8:30am on Sunday, December 26th! Tubing will also open on Sunday.

Exciting News

West Mountain would like to welcome Monster Energy Drink as the new sponsor of West Mountain Terrain Parks. We are very excited about this partnership and the next time you come to West Mountain you'll be skiing or riding in the "Monster Energy Terrain Park." On January 28th we'll be hosting the Monster Energy Big Air. That will be our second terrain park event. Don't forget we are only one week away from our first terrain park event. The rail jam on December 27th is shaping up to be our biggest park event ever. Skiers and Riders will competing for Ca$h and Prizes. Special guest Mike Rogge from Powder Magazine will be on hand to MC the rail jam! See everyone soon and once again big thanks to Monster Energy Drink!

Thanks for coming to West for our opening weekend of the season! It was great to see so many people on the slopes Saturday and Sunday. Take a look at Sunday's Post Star and see the nice write up they did about us. We are closed Monday to Wednesday, but will be open from 10am until 3pm on Thursday and Friday. Lift tickets will $17 for 5 hours on those two days. 

Saturday Is Almost Here!

Opening day is on Saturday. Our hours for the weekend will be 8:30am to 6:00pm. See everyone on Saturday and Sunday. 

Fresh Snow!

Snowmaking is on and cranking right now. Around 3 inches fell last night and gave the mountain a lovely coating. Tomorrow I will post some pics from the top of the mountain. Don't forget we open on Saturday at 8:30am. 

 

 

 

Update...

Opening day is December 18, 2010. Snowmaking is cranking right now and our snowmakers are doing an awesome job getting us ready to go. Big thanks to our snowmakers! The first 4 pics are from Thursday and the last two are from this morning. 

The West Side Grille is open all weekend and on Saturday the Brat Pack will be playing. Stop by and join us for some food or drinks and watch the snow build up!

50 Years!

So West Mountain is turning 50 this season! Once again we have made some improvements to the mountain also. We have added a new Retail Shop, remodeled the Front Desk, added more space to the Lodge and most importantly added a new Ticket System. Take a look at the some of these pics to see for yourself.

More info on the new Ticket System will come right before opening day. Once we start snowmaking you'll hear and see about here on the blog!

Live music has returned to the West Side Grille on Wednesday and Friday's for the Winter. Don't forget on December 11th is our Community Holiday Party at 6pm with the Brat Pack playing in the West Side Grille. If you would like to reserve a table please call (518) 793-6606 ext. 308.

Season Pass Picture Party This Saturday

This Saturday from 1pm to 6pm in the lodge come out to meet other Season Pass holders and get yourself "glammed up" for your pass photo that you'll show off all season long! If you can't make it on Saturday, you can still stop by our main office prior to your first day of skiing to have your pass photo taken. Live music by J. Walker from 3pm to 6pm.

Make sure to stop by the West Side Grille afterwards and check out Chef Chuck Jennings awesome menu! From 4pm to 9:30pm on Saturday in the West Side Grille selected appetizers are half off!

Wintervention

It's that time of the year again. This weekend at the Wood Theater in Glens Falls will be showing Warren Miller Entertainment's newest film Wintervention. On Friday the film will be showing at 5:30pm & 8:00pm and on Saturday at 3pm, 7pm and 9pm. Ticket prices are $12 for Adults and $8 Kids (12 & Under). Ticket sales will benefit the Ski West Mountain Education Foundation (SWMEF).

Snow, Deals and a Job Fair!

Today might not be the best weather, but it is snowing! Please visit the West Mountain online store for the last of the preseason discounts good until November 15, 2010.

On Tuesday November 9, 2010 will be the Job Fair in the lodge at West Mountain from 5pm-8pm. If you want to get a head start on everyone follow this link for a job app to fill out a head of time.
