West Mountain is open for the season! Mother Nature finally brought us some colder temperatures over the Christmas Weekend which allowed our snowmaking team to blow enough snow for Opening Day on Monday, December 26. The holiday week brought many eager skiers, boarders, and tubers to the mountain despite the challenge of the unseasonable weather earlier in the week. Mid-week saw a drop in temperatures which allowed our snowmakers to resume snowmaking for the rest of the week and also brought a dusting of fresh snow on Friday morning. We currently have 4 trails, 4 lifts, and 4 lanes of our tubing park in operation with machine groomed packed powder surface conditions and a base depth of 12-24 inches. The forecast for the weekend is snow and sleet with temperatures in the 30’s, but we’re hoping for all snow! Snowmaking will continue all weekend, weather permitting, and we hope to open more trails as soon as possible. You can visit our website, Facebook, and Twitter pages for continuous snow updates, specials, and events and don’t forget to stop by the Westside Grille for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. And above all else…THINK SNOW!
